Delusions or Light Play

This is not something that can be depicted other than in words.

Early, one bright and sunny morning, from another room, it appeared that there was a huge, white torch on the top, left hand side of a window that faced to the east. Its brilliance was astounding. Attempting to photograph it from a distance, the photograph took on the appearance of a huge ball of bright, white light filling the entire room, as well as the doorway.

Walking towards the room and standing in the doorway moments later, the same ball of white light effect was still apparent. The new challenge became that of walking directly into the ball of light. On entering the room, the huge ball of light suddenly disappeared. No longer could the burning, white torch be seen either. All that was visible was sunlight reflected through the plastic rod, hanging on one side of the white metal blind.

Interestingly, it happened a second time, under the same circumstances, with exactly the same visual effects.
Even more interesting, was a news bulletin later in the day, that depicted a youth walking with a similar burning, white torch.

Is this something that one might refer to as a schism of reality?  Perhaps one might suggest that schisms of reality happen in our every day lives and we are not always aware of them. At times, we may be totally oblivious to them. They are interesting phenomena when they occur and often leave us wondering if they are something that we really saw. They can also be auditory schisms of reality, as well as visual occurrences. Premonitory? Perhaps that too.

Perhaps one might suggest that schism of reality was really not a delusion, but rather light play. Interesting and fun to observe. It will happen again.
