Perhaps one of the greatest and most incredible schisms of reality is that of the Resurrection.
Christians celebrate Easter all around the world. To non-Christians, the concept of the Resurrection seems to be unfathomable, even though many still choose to celebrate Easter. To others, the Easter bunny seems more real.
Why can some people see and accept the reality of the Resurrection immediately, while others do not? Perhaps it has more to do with direct revelation from God. In other words, the Truth is revealed to some and not to others.
To the people who witnessed the events in the life of Jesus Christ, His Crucifixion, Resurrection and Ascension into the heavens, there is no question about the reality of the event. With the number of Biblical accounts that have been documented, there should be no schism of reality.
The historical account of the Resurrection is questioned by those who cannot see or understand the possibility of the reality of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. The significance of the Resurrection is only meaningful to those who can see beyond the schism of reality.
Perhaps this is true in terms of the incredible schism of reality that is evident in other phenomena, as well?

Delusions or Light Play
This is not something that can be depicted other than in words.
Early, one bright and sunny morning, from another room, it appeared that there was a huge, white torch on the top, left hand side of a window that faced to the east. Its brilliance was astounding. Attempting to photograph it from a distance, the photograph took on the appearance of a huge ball of bright, white light filling the entire room, as well as the doorway.
Walking towards the room and standing in the doorway moments later, the same ball of white light effect was still apparent. The new challenge became that of walking directly into the ball of light. On entering the room, the huge ball of light suddenly disappeared. No longer could the burning, white torch be seen either. All that was visible was sunlight reflected through the plastic rod, hanging on one side of the white metal blind.
Interestingly, it happened a second time, under the same circumstances, with exactly the same visual effects.
Even more interesting, was a news bulletin later in the day, that depicted a youth walking with a similar burning, white torch.
Is this something that one might refer to as a schism of reality? Perhaps one might suggest that schisms of reality happen in our every day lives and we are not always aware of them. At times, we may be totally oblivious to them. They are interesting phenomena when they occur and often leave us wondering if they are something that we really saw. They can also be auditory schisms of reality, as well as visual occurrences. Premonitory? Perhaps that too.
Perhaps one might suggest that schism of reality was really not a delusion, but rather light play. Interesting and fun to observe. It will happen again.

The Challenge of Reality

Reality always presents a challenge for everyone, although there are those who seldom question what they believe to be reality.
Who is there that can suggest that this image is not real? Is it a mere happenstance that suddenly appears on the horizon of time, as well as only for a time?
What seems real is tangible, touchable and subject to a time frame of some kind and then it miraculously disappears, never to return again.
Was its reality only imagined or is it schismatic in nature. In other words, did it appear as real and then disappear because it was not real?
The snow has a temporary time frame. Wood lasts a while longer and the wire that is used to create a fence will outlast both of them for some time. The fence post will outlast the fence because it is heavier and stronger.
Even at this time, one can see the inside of the tree stump being eaten away. Is the lop-sided heart shape that has been created merely a figment of the imagination?
Understanding What Is Real
How does a person understand what is real?
When that same person appears to understand something that is real to him or her, how is it that someone else cannot understand it as being real, as well?
There is an incredible schism of reality.
How can it be explained?
